Cadillac improved to third place among automakers and two of its nameplates ranked highest in their respective segments in the 2014 J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study.
Cadillac improved significantly in the study, overtaking 11 brands to rank third industrywide.
The study rates vehicle problems experienced during the past 12 months by original owners of 3-year-old, or 2011 model year, vehicles.
“Excellent quality and lasting value are central expectations for luxury consumers,” said Uwe Ellinghaus, chief marketing officer, Global Cadillac. “This is a focus as we continue the ongoing elevation of the Cadillac brand.”
Infiniti has today released a new preview of the Q50 Eau Rouge concept – the sound of premium automotive performance. The identity of the big personality engine with forced induction under Eau Rouge’s sculpted and vented hood will be revealed at the 2014 Geneva International Motor Show, but it can be heard now in a new video clip released by Infiniti.
The Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge concept was revealed at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show in January as a design vision for a high-performance variant of the Q50 premium sports sedan. Now, after significant interest from the public, Eau Rouge boasts an almighty powertrain that suits the aggressively styled and motorsport-influenced exterior.
“With its Formula One-inspired carbon fiber bodywork, we thought it only fitting the Q50 Eau Rouge’s beating heart was suitably sporting. Our engineers have perfectly captured the tone of Infiniti’s take on premium performance, and a car that is as impressive as the Q50 Eau Rouge sounds is surely a car to challenge performance cars in the premium sector,” said Johan de Nysschen, President of Infiniti Motor Company Limited.
Infiniti will hold its 2014 Geneva International Motor Show press conference at 11:00 am CET on Tuesday, March 4.

The 2014 Cadillac CTS has been recently awarded with MotorWeek’s Drivers’ Choice Award for “Best Luxury Sedan.” The CTS finished ahead of more than 18 vehicles eligible in the category. MotorWeek, television’s longest running automotive series has presented the Drivers’ Choice Awards annually since 1983.
“The all-new 2014 Cadillac CTS sedan delivers crafted design, thrilling performance and sophisticated technology,” said David Leone, Global Cadillac executive chief engineer. “The recognition from MotorWeek lends further credibility to the new CTS elevating the brand to new levels in every direction.”
MotorWeek editors evaluated vehicles to judge the best new cars and trucks of the year based on what consumers value most: price, practicality, performance and fuel efficiency. The best models are then selected for each category. The annual award aims to produce a list of winners that can be used as a practical guide for car shopping.
CTS last year was named Motor Trend Car of the Year, one of Car and Driver’s 10 Best, and Road & Track’s 2013 Luxury Car. The 2013 Cadillac ATS sedan was the MotorWeek “Best of the Year” Drivers’ Choice award winner, as well as the MotorWeek Drivers’ Choice Best Sport Sedan.
